About the Role

The QA Technical Leader will manage Food Safety Management System and day-to-day tasks of the QA/QC team including internal/external audits, fostering growth in technical excellence with specialised projects and report directly to the QA Manager.

As a Quality Assurance focused position, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GMP, MPI requirements, GSFI certification standards and applications within a food manufacturing environment. You will have at least 5 years food industry experience with a strong background in microbiology, seeking to broaden your skill base, drive continuous improvement, be a strong communicator and great team player. You'll come with the ability and desire to listen and learn to quickly develop new skills.

Skills & Experience

To be considered will ideally possess the following attributes:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in food science/technology, microbiology preferred.

• 5+ years quality experience in the food industry.
• Excellent communication and outgoing, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Quick learner with organisational skills.
• Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Deliver results within tight deadlines and budget.
• Desire to manage 3-4 direct reports.
